02 Oct Thrive Tribe’s London stop smoking services are the top performing in the country
Hammersmith & Fulham’s free to use stop smoking service, delivered by specialist healthy lifestyle and well-being provider Thrive Tribe, has been recognised in a recent NHS report as the top performing service in England.
The NHS surveyed over 142 local authorities which provide stop smoking services in England and found that the service, known locally as Kick-It, achieved the highest rate for people quitting at 7,787 per 100,000 smokers. The report covered the year to March 2018.
Thrive Tribe also provide the Kick-it service in The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and City of Westminster. The report also found these services to have the second and fourth highest number of quitters in England.
Thrive Tribe’s Managing Director, Tim Roberts, said: “Smoking remains one of the capital’s biggest killers and the Kick-it team supports people to lead a healthier life which helps to ease the burden on other health services.
“The success of the service is down to our well-trained team of core and partner advisors that are well embedded in the community. Residents can access the service at GP Practices, pharmacies, hospitals, and community based locations. We also operate an enhanced focus in areas of deprivation to reach most in need communities, along with a unique programme in Wormwood Scrubs where we help hundreds of prisoners quit each year.”
